The holidays are fast approaching and the Devi Arts Collective is getting a brand new look! This has been a long time coming and I’m really excited about it. I sat down for brunch with a member of my team last week to make a plan for the website redesign, which we’re hoping to launch at the beginning of November.
The new website will feature beautiful photographs of the entire Devi collection, an easy-to-navigate online store, and a clean blogging template where we’ll continue to share our stories and tips.
But let’s talk a little bit more about brunch! I love a good vegetarian dish, and since my team members all work remotely I’ve been getting together with them every few months to touch base over some food.
This month my editor joined me atBirds and the Beet– a hip café in Vancouver’s Gastown, with delicious wholesome homemade fair. We both enjoyed a bowl ofRolled Oat & Chia Bircher Muesliand a hot drink. I had an almond milk latte and she had a loose leaf tea.
I recently purchased a new camera to capture some of my new pieces and to offer you quality looking behind-the-scenes snaps on ourInstagram account. We put that camera to use before we ate. Yes, we were those people carefully posing our food and finding the right angle, and although Christine nearly backed into another table of guests, I think it was worth it in the end. Also, the anticipation which built up before we finally ate didn’t let us down. The muesli was as good as it looks.
Our mantra for the new design is simple, elegant, and beautiful. We want a platform that will showcase what we’ve been building in a way that is easy to navigate and even easier to share.
We can’t wait to share it with you.
In the meantime, make sure you check out ourInstagram accountfor updates on our nature-inspired jewelry and some behind-the-scenes snaps from our markets. You can find us@DeviCollective.
I’ve been travelling regularly (for work and pleasure) for over a decade now, and over that time have learned a few things about travelling affordably, conveniently, and safely. I’d like to share some of those tips with you.
When I started working with silver and gold as a metalsmith, the Orbit Ring was one of my very first designs. It’s continued to be a favourite of mine over the years, but I've recently given it a reinvention...
Originally, the plan for this blog was to give you a behind-the-scenes look at my Flower Power collection, which I'm still going to do. But I also want to share my thoughts on something that happened last week in America. You probably already know what I’m talking about.
