The Khan Family Gemcutters

In Jaipur, India gemcutting, also called lapidary, is a tradition that has been passed down from generation-to-generation since the time when the Raj ruled the land.

This skill and tradition is one that the Khan family knows very well. In the heart of the Pink City, the family has been working and mastering this skill for three generations. The current generation consists of ten siblings; seven brothers and 3 sisters, all who work in the family business. All stones are cut in safe working conditions and there is no child labour being used. All stones are cut ethically.
